How to Stake

How Staking Works

GAC's staking mechanism utilizes a cross-chain bridge called FX-Portal to bridge your stake (on Ethereum) such that it earns rewards on Polygon. All GAC XP is accrued at the address that staked the GAC NFTs, but on the Polygon chain. Staking and unstaking (which occur on Ethereum) will automatically claim GAC XP on Polygon for you. Using the Claim Rewards button on the staking website will require you to have added Polygon to your NFT wallet and will prompt you to then switch wallets to complete the transaction. To do this, you need to have some MATIC in your wallet, which is low priced and easily purchasable on Coinbase.

To migrate your GAC XP (on-chain) for use in the GAC Shack, there will be a dedicated button located on the GAC Shack balance bar. It will require a transaction on the Polygon network and will thus need a small amount of MATIC to complete.

We will provide a video tutorial on how to stake your GAC NFTs on June 2nd.

How To Stake

1. Go to https://staking.gamingapeclub.com

2. Login (click Connect Wallet in top right, or ETH icon in bottom left)

3. Select the tokens you'd like to stake in the Unstaked Apes section by clicking Select.

4. A bar should appear at the bottom. If it's your first time staking, the button on the right of that bar should say Approve, click that and run the token approval transaction giving GACStaking access to move your GAC NFTs.

5. After the approval tx succeeds, the bar should say Stake, click that and follow the prompts.

6. You have staked!

How To Unstake

1. Go to https://staking.gamingapeclub.com

2. Login (click Connect Wallet in top right, or ETH icon in bottom left)

3. Select the tokens you'd like to unstake in the Staked Apes section by hovering over them and clicking Select (desktop) or just clicking Select (mobile).

4. A bar should appear at the bottom. Click the unstake button on the right side of the bar and follow the prompts.

5. You have unstaked!

How To Claim

You will have the ability to start claiming your GAC XP 48 hours after the launch.

1. Go to [ link will be updated when staking is live ]

2. Login (click Connect Wallet in top right, or ETH icon in bottom left)

3. If you have a pending reward, the Claimable section on the top should indicate a balance and the Claim Reward button should be enabled.

4. Click that and follow the prompts.

5. You have claimed!
